Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help the Summer Biathlon World Championship 2009.

As you may already know, the WC will be held between september 21th and 27th 2009 of September 2009 in the DKB-Ski-ARENA Oberhof in Thuringia, Germany.

Currently, we are looking for volunteers in the areas of security , catering and support in the VIP-tent as well as the visitor's tent and helpers for construction and deconstruction. Please watch this space, new tasks may appear at a later point.

Security

You can keep a cool head in a hectic environment, know how to work with people and enjoy ensuring the smooth proceedings of an event? Then you might enjoy working security at the World Championship! As member of the security team, you stand between the audience and the athletes to ensure uninterrupted competitions. Or you might be among the spectators to ensure their safe enjoyment of the event.

 

Catering and Support in the VIP-Tent

Do you enjoy meeting people, have fun and experience with gastronomical work? Then we'd be pleased to welcome you in the VIP-Tent team. Here, you care for dignitaries from all parts of the world and have the unique chance of experiencing the World Championship from an entirely new perspective.
Visitor's Tent Management

Who is not infected by the atmosphere among true fans? In the visitor's tent, you are right in the middle of it. Do you enjoy waiting on people? Are you at home behind a bar? Familiar with musical or broadcasting equipment? In each of these cases, you would be a valuable addition to the visitor's tent crew, the place for volunteers who want to feel the World Championship' flair.

 

Helpers in Construction and Deconstruction

The World Championship are quite literally in the hands of those men and women who invest their time around the event. If you can lend a hand in the week ahead and the three days after to help the organizers with the tracks, the shooting ranges and the arena, you are warmly invited to do so.
